Do you know what your dreams are?

A dream can be described as a series of images, thoughts, desires, or emotions that pass through your mind. It is a wonderful thing you can create in your imagination, most often related to your future. It is something you wish and hope to achieve someday.

Based on this, you choose your dreams and want to fulfill them. These are the dreams that we see with open eyes which do not let us sleep. You want to achieve them, you want to fulfill them, and you keep thinking that time is running out. In this case, you become impatient. You want to achieve them as fast as possible. But it is not only difficult but near impossible. Everything takes time and you need to give time to accomplish your dreams. Hence, you need to be patient with your dreams.

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” – Harriet Tubman.

Are you doing your part to fulfill your dreams?

You start pursuing your dreams with so much passion and purpose.

Whether you recently identified what you desire or you have taken steps to see dreams come to pass for months, it is important to remind yourself to be patient.

At some point, thoughts of disbelief, frustration, and uncertainty can cause you to wonder if continuing your path is worth it. Here, patience comes into play! You need to be patient with your dreams.

How can you be patient with your dreams?

It is a practice — one that requires you to be patient with yourself, which means cultivating self-compassion. Understand that feeling impatient is a common human experience and does not make you a bad person. Speak to yourself with kindness and avoid self-criticism, which will only make you feel worse.

One of the best ways to be a more patient person is to make sure you keep your stress and anxiety in check. The calmer you feel in your body and mind, the easier it is to be patient with others or with frustrating experiences you might have.

Say, for example, you want to be a model. It sounds simple, you need to have good height, a fit body, and a chiselled face, and you are good to go. But it is not that easy, your height should meet the set norms, what looks like a fit body to you, it may not be fit for judges and your face may not suit the one required for a particular show or product. This translates, that you need to work out properly to put your body in shape, network enough to explore possibilities and learn other tricks of the trade. All this will take time and many times it will test your patience. Hence, you need to be patient.

Sometimes, it so happens that the accomplishment of your dreams looks like a far-fetched happening. You start feeling frustrated and your patience level seems to be waning. In such a situation, you need to create a go-to calming routine for those impatient moments.
