A new report reveals rankings of 96 countries for older people’s well being.
The ranking, called the Global AgeWatch Index 2015, is based on four domains:
1.older adults’ income security
2.health status
3. capability (including their employment and educational status)
4. whether a country has an enabling environment (that promotes physical safety, civic freedoms and access to public transport)
In this list India stands at rank 71. Even Bangladesh is at a vlog higher pedestal i.e. at 67.
Switzerland is at the top followed by Norway whereas U.S.A. is at 9. (lower than Japan at 8 and Canada at 5)
The lowest ranking country is Afghansitan.
