You cannot do meditation. It is a state, a natural state of your true being inseparable from you. Hence, not-doable. What you can do is Japa, prayer, practice of mindfulness, heartfulness, acts of compassion and love. As you do these practices your mind is gradually decluttered. A time comes when you are doing your japa or praying with all your heart, suddenly, in the most unexpected moment you experience the inexpressible. That is meditation. A state in which you experience what is true happiness and peace.
