3. Identify your flow
All of us are very different from each other. Some of us like to stay focused on a task till we get it done, irrespective of how much time it takes for us to finish it. Others might like to work for shorter periods and with breaks in between. It is always better to identify what works for us and then play it to our strength.
4. Take short breaks
When you find yourself not being able to pay any more attention to a task and zoning out as a result, take a break! Grab a bite of a cookie or go for a little walk or listen to some instrumental music. Sitting at your desk for long hours can cause back pain and staring at the screen can cause headaches. 5. Keep that phone inside
As much as you’d like to pay attention to your Instagram, Facebook, Whatsapp and run to your phone at the sound of each beep, you’ll have to stop spiralling into the realm of such attention sucking apps if you wish to stay focused at work.
It’s understandable if you are using your cell phone during business hours occasionally but if done more than that, it could become a big distraction.
