Samrat Ashok is among the tall figures in the history and cultural ethos of our country. All major symbols of India’s governance contain icons related to him. on 14th of April several thousands Buddhists from around the country including the members of Sakya, Maurya, Kushawa and Saini communities that trace their descent to the clans of Buddha Sakyamuni and samrat Ashok will gather at Ashok Mission, Meharauli to mark the day.
The communities will be represented by the Akhil Bharatiya Sakya Mahasabha, Akhil Bharatiya Maurya Mahasngh, Kushwaha Samaj Delhi, All india saini Sewa Samaj, Tathagat Sakyamuni Gautam Buddha sanstha, Apne log and the samrat Priyadarshi Youth Federation of India.
