One of the major reasons for stress is procrastination. Lack of prioritization. As more work piles up both outside and in the mind, there is invariably a feeling of so much to be done and so little time. It is true at home and the work place. If you don’t prioritize and finish up the work, worries will drain your energies. It could even cause physical ailments common to stress. Finish your work, and while doing it do it joyfully and mindfully so that you have done sadhana for the day. Good practice, try it.
