Don’t expect your mind to cooperate with you when you try to slow it down. Initially the more you try to tame it, the more it will behave like a wild horse. Remember the clue is the art of relaxation. Sit quietly and take deep breaths through your nostrils and breathe out through your mouth. Slow long deep breaths of mindfulness of your inner and outer world. Eventually your mind would be calmer, body relaxed and breaths rhythmic. That would be such a rest for you, joy for you. All actions would flow through you.
