Conference on “Spiritual Tourism for Sustainable Development – India : the Land of Gods” organized under aegis of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) has recommended “Skill Council” to be set up under jurisdiction of National Skill Development Council (NSDC) so that the branding of spiritual pockets, locations and sites in India could be undertaken so effectively as to attract tourists for their spiritual uplift from across the globe.
“The tourists sites with potential for spiritual tourism is still a best kept secret in India as it has failed to market such spots despite the fact that they exist in abundance and therefore, the time has come when the spiritual ambassadors with their abode beyond India’s borders and even within it need to be inspired so that the world is exposed to them for their negotiations”, was the another suggestion that was mooted to promote spiritual tourism in India during the conference.

His Eminence Drukpa Thuksey Rinpoche, Spiritual Master-Drukpa Lineage in his observations felt that at times when religious intolerance has peaked and perked up, what is needed is love and compassion in action by humanity.
Among others who participated on the occasion appreciating the observations made out by Dr. Mansingh, Sjoham Babaji and Drukpa Thuksey Rinpoche consisted of the Senior Vice President and Vice President of the Chamber Dr. Mahesh Gupta and Mr. Gopal Jiwarajka including the Chairman of Tourism Committee of the Chamber Mr. Vijay Mehta.
