This Sunday on ‘May Day’ Humanity First raised 792 K for Nasir Hospital Guatemala during their four hours segment of Global Telethon. A non religious and non political humanitarian relief organization registered in 43 countries across six continents, has been working on human development projects and responding to disasters since 1995.
The organization provides humanitarian aid to those affected by natural disasters and undertakes emergency relief operations around the world providing medical assistance, shelter, water, food, clothing and sanitation to affected populations.
In Guatemala the community is established and working with locals to teach English, Spanish and computer science. They had been witnessing the plight of the people of Guatemala for the last seven years while working with them and providing medical assistance. Now Humanity First USA is taking their efforts to the next level by building a hospital there. They used their four hours segment of the Global Telethon to collect funds for this humanitarian project.
The telethon ran for 21 hours live. It began in Indonesia and concluded in Canada on the first of May. The highlight of the live telecast were phone in’s done with Deputy Ambassador of Guatemala to the USA and the Minister of Health, Guatemala.
A very happy Humanity First added to their accounts a sum of 792K Dollars through US telethon for their prestigious hospital project.
