Rishikesh ashram of spiritual guru Maharishi Mahesh Yogi would be reopened on December 8. One would remember that The Beatles, an English rock band, stayed there in 1968 for an advanced transcendental meditation (TM) training session.
The ashram is being reopened to give a boost to spiritual tourism in the state of Uttarakhand. The ashram which is unused since the year 2000 would have a completely new vlog look. The walls have been covered in graffiti on Beatles and Mahesh Yogi to remind the visitors of the significance of the place.
