Wherever we are stuck we learn, we learn many things. Each obstacle and struggle to cross over serves the role of guru. We always need to keep in mind that the dark clouds come not to stay forever, but leave when the purpose is served. The most important lesson to learn is with Him we can surmount any problem in life, but that happens when we surrender to His Will rather than struggle with our ego for temporary solutions.
