We mistake pleasure for happiness. More desire for pleasure means more dependence on external props. It is in a way addictive. It invariably creates a void inside with time. It leads to intense pain, as externals are uncontrollable. Until one sees the fallacy of dependent pleasure the doors to true happiness never open. The wider the gap between inner and outer the more we all are trapped. Mindfulness, meditation practice only bridges the gap. Happiness is inner. Pleasure is outer. Choice is ours!
Love and light!
