Nowadays when we are engulfed with negativity all over – there is war all over, natural calamities, accidents, untimely deaths, pandemics, murders, road rage, etc. hence it is very difficult to maintain sanity, and forget positivity. It seems life has come to a dead end, a point of no return where we must live with negativity all over.
In such challenging times, it becomes more important to remain positive and emit positivity. Indeed, it is easier said than done but if you are determined that you must remain positive, you will achieve success. Nothing is impossible in this world, similarly remaining positive in all kinds of situations is also not impossible. Try this for a few days, followed by a few months, maybe a year then it will be part of your system. You will notice positivity even in the gravest situations.
How do you define positivity?
(pɒzɪtɪv ) adjective [usually verb-link ADJECTIVE] If you are positive about things, you are hopeful and confident and think of the good aspects of a situation rather than the bad ones.
“Always turn a negative situation into a positive situation.”
So, what are these positive vibes?
- Treat life with love.
- Stop when you are happy with what you have achieved.
- Every day is a day to be happy.
- Recognize your struggle to recognize your progress.
- I do not know how I will do it yet, but I will do it.
- You deserve happiness.
- Be you. Truly & unapologetically you.
Positivity is without doubt one of the most powerful forces in the world. In the words of Dalai Lama: To carry a positive action, we must develop a positive vision.
Thinking positively will not only improve our overall mental and physical health but also empower our minds to see new opportunities and ideas. On the contrary, negative thoughts have been proven scientifically to limit our vision and creativity. Getting stuck in endless cycles of ruminative, negative thoughts can drastically decrease one’s motivation to step up and solve problems.
Modern times have brought to the fore some buzzwords which have become part and parcel of our daily lives. Same way “Positive vibes” has become a buzz term of the 21st century. Have you ever wondered what this term denotes? Although the term may have been overused, its meaning is something we should all get behind if we want to make ourselves and other people feel great. Whether you call it positive vibes or positive energy, you must work around how to become a fun and optimistic person that people want to spend time with.
“Live life to the fullest, and focus on the positive.”
So how can you bring positivity in yourself especially when you are surrounded by negativity all over? The workplace is toxic, personal relations are stressed, no growth, no outlook, and dark clouds hovering all over…still, you need to remain positive. Yes, I mean it. Certain things can bring positivity to your lives…
…let us see in which ways you can bring positivity.
There are many ways to bring about positivity in your own life, but the main staple of the practice is to focus your energy. Besides you can look for ways how to develop a positive personality. Try to find or create positivity in everything you do. Observe your behaviour and habits – do they feed you positive energy or make you feel bad about yourself? Try to set a small intention behind every action, even if it is something as small as taking a shower to cleanse and care for yourself or reading a few pages of a book. You can inculcate and spread positivity in whichever possible ways you like.
“Positive vibes can make big dreams a reality.”
How will you protect your positive vibes?
It’s clear to see that by making a few adjustments in our lives and way of thinking, we all have the ability to create and control our positive vibes and that happiness isn’t out of reach for anyone determined to embrace it.
Now your major concern is how do you stay positive amidst all the negativity engulfing you?
Please note that whichever way your default attitude leans, positive thinking is a habit you can develop with practice:
- Engage in Positive Self-Talk.
- Practice Gratitude.
- Identify Areas for Improvement.
- Spend Time with Positive People.
- Take Care of Your Physical Health.
- Remember to Laugh.
- Treat Your Self.
- Develop Morning and Evening Routines.
It may be a clichéd statement that you must be happy in yourself before you can make someone else happy, but there is some truth to it. Positivity is contagious, so if you can work on your feelings of joy and connectedness, this is what you will project to the world. Remember, so is negativity…negativity spreads faster!
Lastly, you can look for Positive Energy in Others.
When you are talking to someone, you are focusing your energy on self-analysis or thinking about what will you say next. You need to check your responses next time you are in a social situation. Instead of looking inward, focus on what makes them great, and you will automatically reflect their positive vibes.
If you find yourself stuck for conversation, ask lots of questions, and give thoughtful, engaged responses. Serve it with the topping of complimenting the other person – it shows you appreciate and admire someone, which will, in turn, make the other person feel good. This is a helpful tip if you have anxiety or low self-esteem as it takes the heat off you, but you will naturally radiate positive energy.
This way radiate positivity and be HappyHO.
