The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has started Chief Minister Kanya Vivah or mass marriage scheme to provide financial help to the daughters and divorced women of poor families. Those girls can take benefit of this scheme, whose age at the time of marriage is 18 years or more. But to take advantage of this scheme, they have to register first.

 There is facility of application up to three months before marriage or three months after marriage. Grants will be given to economically weaker sections of Scheduled Castes, Backward Castes, Minorities. If a widow wants to remarry, then she also has a provision of priority in the marriage grant. Destitute girl, daughter of widow woman, daughter of disabled guardian will also be given priority in grant.

The Social Welfare Department pays grants for the marriage of the daughter to the families living below the poverty line. Online application can be made to the Social Welfare Department three months before or three months after the marriage. The special thing is that the grant is sent to the girl’s bank account.

 20 thousand for self-marriage and 51 thousand rupees for mass marriage. In this, 35 thousand rupees are sent to the girl’s bank account and wedding items of 10 thousand rupees and six thousand rupees are available for marriage expenses.

Social Welfare Director Rakesh Kumar said that marriage grant is given to people of every caste and religion by the department. District Social Welfare Officer Sunita Singh said that girls above 18 years would be eligible for marriage grant.

 The annual income of a family living in rural area should be Rs 46,080 and that of a family living in urban area should be Rs 56,460. The applicant must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh. At the time of marriage, the girl should have completed 18 years of age and the boy should have completed 21 years of age, then only the grant would be available.

 On this homepage you will see the option of application form. Click on it.

 After this, carefully fill all the information asked in the firm like- name, residential address, aadhaar number, age etc.

After filling all the information click on the submit button.

 After this, you will have to login to the website through user id and password, after which your application will be completed.
